17 Death Scenes Broken Down By Acting Coach Anthony Gilardi | Good & Bad Acting
17 Death Scenes Broken Down By Acting Coach Anthony Gilardi | Good & Bad Acting
3 days ago
Acting coach Anthony Gilardi analyzed some of Hollywood's most famous - and infamous - dying scenes. Reviewing movie deaths ranging from great to mediocre to downright terrible, he broke down what went right and wrong in the actors' performances. Sometimes an over-the-top movie death works, and sometimes the dramatics are better kept to a minimum. According to Gilardi, an actor's approach to their character's death should always depend on the story they're telling. Using examples from classic movies like "The Godfather Part III," "Moulin Rouge!," and "Scarface," Gilardi pointed out common pitfalls that make it easy for any actor to bungle a death scene - even for Oscar-winning film stars, like Natalie Portman and Marion Cotillard, and veteran actors who have racked up dozens of on-screen deaths, like Sean Bean and Samuel L. Jackson. He critiqued the best and worst villain deaths, from the defeat of Commodus in "Gladiator" to Talia al Ghul's final monologue in "The Dark Knight Rises," and pinpointed why these deaths either resonated with audiences or fell short. And he compared the hits and misses of slow-motion deaths, from Willem Dafoe's famous arms-in-the-air scene in "Platoon" to Christopher George's slo-mo death by shuriken in "Enter the Ninja." A creature performer is an actor who moves like a monster or an animal using CGI or practical effects. Buck the dog in “Call of the Wild” and the apes in the “Planet of the Apes” trilogy featured motion capture performers standing-in for digital characters. Other times, like the amphibian man in “The Shape of Water” or Phoebe Waller-Bridge’s portrayal of L3-37 in “Solo: A Star Wars Story,” practical characters were used on set and modified in post production. The process can vary depending on production needs, and can also be seen in Disney’s live-action “Dumbo” and “Beauty and the Beast” remakes, and “Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.” MORE MOVIES INSIDER: How Netflix's 'Extraction' Filmed A 12-Minute Fight Scene To Look Like One Take | Movies Insider usa-video.net/gwn0J2OVDG4-video.html How 6 Innovative Movies And TV Shows Were Animated | Movies Insider usa-video.net/weBrjk_kW6A-video.html What 8 Horror Movies Looked Like Behind The Scenes | Movies Insider usa-video.net/0mjczFecDtY-video.html ------------------------------------------------------ #Performers #MoviesInsider #Insider Insider is great journalism about what passionate people actually want to know. An authenticity expert from designer consignment shop The RealReal in New York City taught Insider producer AC Fowler how to spot replicas of popular designer watches. We took a look at some of the most iconic watches around: Hublot Big Bangs, Omega Seamasters, Cartier Santos 100s, Rolex Submariners, and Cartier Pashas. Watch authenticity expert Laif Anderson put us to the test to see if we could determine the real designer watches from their knockoffs. We also learned some tips along the way for how shoppers can spot the differences themselves. Insider visited The RealReal's SoHo location in 2019. How Netflix's 'Extraction' Filmed A 12-Minute Fight Scene To Look Like One Take | Movies Insider

About halfway through Netflix's "Extraction," there is an action scene shot to look like one long, 12-minute take. To sell the illusion, Marvel stunt coordinator turned director Sam Hargrave strapped himself to the hood of a car to follow multiple car chases and then attached himself to a rope so he could capture a moment where two characters tumble off a balcony. Because there are no cuts, actor Chris Hemsworth had to do some of the most intense training of his career. Meanwhile, if you look closely, you might find the invisible cuts, or "stitches," that attach each shot of the sequence. Recent advancements in technology have allowed animators to push the limits of their work, resulting in more creative and detailed films and TV shows than ever before. Some animated films are created using primarily physical objects (like the stop-motion film "Kubo and the Two Strings"), while others are made completely of CGI characters (like "The Lion King"). Some films are drawn or painted completely by hand (like "Loving Vincent"), while others use computers to assist the drawing process (like "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse"). Why The Third Film In A Trilogy Almost Always Sucks
Why The Third Film In A Trilogy Almost Always Sucks
26 days ago
According to Rotten Tomatoes’ rating of the 70 highest domestically grossing trilogies in the US, 64% of trilogies had their third film as their worst-rated film. There are two factors that contribute to threequels almost always being the worst films of the series: formula and necessity. Threequels not only have to tell a great story that tops the films before it, but they also need to tie every loose end and somehow bring a satisfying conclusion to the saga. Additionally, because threequels make more than four times their budgets (on average), many threequels are produced solely to make more money, not for narrative reasons. What 8 Horror Movies Looked Like Behind The Scenes | Movies Insider

Recent horror films have gone great lengths to scare viewers. "The Invisible Man" employed a performer in a green suit to throw Elisabeth Moss' character across a table. Jordan Peele's "Us" used facial replacement CGI to allow characters to act alongside their doppelgängers. While movies like "Crawl" needed CGI to make its alligators as terrifying as possible, many horror movies still rely on practical effects to scare audiences. The 2019 "Child’s Play" reboot built an animatronic Chucky controlled by puppeteers, while "Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark" went all out creating makeup effects and costumes to turn its cast members into monsters. Universal's "The Hunt," starring Betty Gilpin and Hilary Swank, garnered much controversy, as well as praise for its thrilling final fight sequence. Pulling off this fight scene was no easy feat, as it required the crew to construct a set that was built for stunts and destruction. Director Craig Zobel walked us through how this scene was shot, which was a collaboration between production design, stunts, and special effects. It started with building a cardboard model of the set and ended with a lot of fake broken glass and tables and a stunt double getting kicked through a fireplace. In March 2017, Kendrick Lamar's "Humble" video exploded on USa-video. But his music wasn't the only thing fans were talking about - hundreds of film enthusiasts were posting videos giving tips on how to achieve its specific camera-whipping effect on a lower budget. Music studios began hitting up Camera Control, the company that licensed robocams to the "Humble" project, for the real thing. From the end of the 1990s to the early 2000s, the music-video industry was in a slump, and robotic camera rigs, or cinebots, were used in mostly feature films and food commercials. However, when streaming took over a few years later, there was a new thirst for online video. And with this new wave of music technology came a new wave of repurposing camera technology. We talked to Camera Control owners Jason Rau and Simon Wakley to see how the cameras rose to popularity in the music-video scene and director of photography Tyler Weinberger to understand how the robocam is used on set. Hayao Miyazaki is regarded as one of the greatest animators of our time. Under Studio Ghibli, he created some of the distinguished works in the medium, like "My Neighbor Totoro," "Howl's Moving Castle," and "Princess Mononoke." But perhaps his preeminent achievement is "Spirited Away," an Oscar-winning animated film that launched Miyazaki to the world stage. And the six-minute sequence in the film where nothing happens might hide the secret that makes his films so magical. Rallying remains one of the most dangerous motorsports in the world. However, to help these brave drivers survive each high-risk race is a co-driver sitting shotgun reading off a list of directions called "pacenotes". It's because of these co-drivers telling them what's ahead that racers are able to drive full speed around blind corners and over sudden drops. If you pay close attention to TV shows and movies, you’ll start to notice the same fake brands being used over and over again. And one of the most reused brands is Morley Cigarettes. No, it’s not some deep, connected universe. There are a number of good reasons why these fake products have been used in so many productions over the last 60 years. We traced Morley back to some of its earliest appearances in Alfred Hitchcock’s “Psycho” and “The Twilight Zone,” to “The X-Files,” “Friends,” and even a 2020 episode of “Curb Your Enthusiasm.” We also spoke to a film professor at the UCLA School of Theater, Film and Television to see why the popular fake brand is so significant in the history of entertainment. Disney's live-action remakes of its animated classics have become a box-office staple over the years. In order to make a photorealistic world of talking animals, "The Jungle Book" and "The Lion King" relied on innovative virtual production techniques. "Maleficent: Mistress of Evil" made Angelina Jolie look like she was flying through the air, and "Mulan" used wire work to allow its heroes to do gravity-defying stunts. In "Aladdin," Will Smith donned a motion-capture suit, which allowed the film to create the Genie with CGI while still giving the character the actor's signature moves. And "Beauty and the Beast" built its sets from scratch whenever it could. ------------------------------------------------------ #Disney #MoviesInsider #Insider Insider is great journalism about what passionate people actually want to know. Archaeologist Breaks Down 10 Treasure Hunting Scenes In Movies | How Real Is It?
Month ago
Archaeology has played a role in scores of iconic Hollywood films, from “The Mummy” to “Titanic.” But what’s a real-life archaeologist’s take on these movies? New York University archaeologist Mariana Castro reacts to 10 scenes featuring the most famous fictional archaeologists and treasure hunters, from Indiana Jones to Lara Croft, and rates them based on their realism. Find out how realistic Indiana Jones’ adventures are in movies like “Raiders of the Lost Ark” and “Kingdom of the Crystal Skull.” Watch Mariana dissect Nicolas Cage’s methodology in “National Treasure,” Angelina Jolie’s field gear in “Lara Croft: Tomb Raider,” Max von Sydow’s’s Iraq excavation in “The Exorcist,” and Rachel Weisz’s exhumation of the sarcophagus in “The Mummy.” She breaks down the important differences between excavation and looting, does some myth-busting about the pseudoarchaeology depicted in movies like “Stargate,” critiques Matthew McConaughey’s archaeological practices in “Sahara,” and tells us what Disney’s “Atlantis: The Lost Empire” actually gets right about archaeology. From an expert’s perspective, find out whether archaeologists really use metal detectors, why the military does sometimes get involved in archaeological projects, why alien and space archaeology isn’t a thing, and why actual fieldwork doesn’t look like the shipwreck exploration seen in James Cameron’s “Titanic.” Plus, why booby traps aren’t all that common archaeology finds, and what tricks ancient civilizations actually used to deter looters. How Cinematography In 'Casino Royale' Revolutionized The Bond Franchise | The Art Of Film

Generally, cinematography has been an afterthought for James Bond films. However, when the franchise was rebooted with 2006’s “Casino Royale” (starring Daniel Craig), the cinematography was completely rehauled thanks to director Martin Campbell and cinematographer Phil Méheux, who made two subtle but impactful changes to the cinematography - moving the camera and reflecting the mood. These cinematic principles helped “Casino Royale” feel more authentic. By comparing similar clips of James Bond in “Casino Royale” with clips from older entries in the franchise, the cinematic differences become apparent. In Pixar’s “Onward,” two elf brothers turn their late father into a pair of pants. Their dad had the most technically complex costume Pixar’s ever done (per their production notes). The challenge for the costume animation team was to make something that was appealing, funny, physically plausible, & look like a person at first glance - but ultimately behave like an actual lump of cloth. We focus on Dad’s costume, since he’s at the center of the story & his clothing posed a particular challenge to Pixar’s character tailoring artists. It will be interesting to show how much animation/simulation work & creativity goes into a single outfit for a Pixar character. Tattoo Historian Rates 15 Iconic Movie And TV Tattoos | How Real Is It?

Tattoos often crop up in movies and TV, with depictions ranging from accurate to disastrous. Matt Lodder is a senior lecturer in art history and theory and the director of American studies at the University of Essex. He's referred to as an expert in tattoo history, and he lectures on tattoos as fine art at The Arts Society. Lodder discusses the cultural significance and accuracy of famous tattoos in movies and TV shows, such as Jason Momoa's in "Justice League" and Jared Leto's in "Suicide Squad." Lodder told us about the true stories and real-life tattoo artists that may have influenced the design choices for "The Hangover Part II" and "Red Dragon." Lodder also disproved some historically inaccurate tattoos, such as those in "The Mummy" and "Pirates of the Caribbean." MORE HOW REAL IS IT? The 2020 version of "The Invisible Man," directed by Leigh Whannell, introduced a new twist on the classic horror-movie monster, focusing on his abused ex-girlfriend Cecilia (played by Elisabeth Moss) rather than the invisible man himself, Adrian Griffin (played by Oliver Jackson-Cohen). In addition to shifting the central character, the filmmakers used a number of innovative techniques to make a character you can't see terrifying to watch, including some clever cinematography and visual effects. Here's a behind-the-scenes look at what makes "The Invisible Man" so much scarier than the original 1933 film. Have you ever, like, wondered why people, like, talk like this? The word "like" and its prevalence in modern American speech have baffled linguists and frustrated listeners worldwide. But what started this annoying trend might have actually been a mistake. All it needed was one song parodying the girls from California's San Fernando Valley in the '70s to make it one of the most widely used words in the English language. Neil Woods spent 14 years as an undercover police officer infiltrating some of the most dangerous organized crime groups in the UK. He rated undercover scenes in movies for realism, such as Martin Scorsese's "The Departed" and Quentin Tarantino's "Reservoir Dogs." He also rated scenes in movies and shows featuring undercover surveillance work, such as "The Bourne Ultimatum," and characters going undercover in "Argo," "Lethal Weapon," and the US version of "The Office." Woods relayed anecdotes of his time as an undercover policeman and the dangers involved in the role. Woods is now a board member of the Law Enforcement Action Partnership, an American nonprofit organization seeking to overhaul current punitive drug policies and lessen the incidences of crime and addiction. Woods is co-author of "Good Cop, Bad War" with JS Rafaeli, and author of "Drug Wars: The Terrifying Inside Story of Britain's Drug Trade." Everything You Missed In Taylor Swift's 'The Man' Video

Taylor Swift has dropped a politically charged music video for her latest single "The Man" from her seventh studio album "Lover." Both the song and video for "The Man" address the sexism and misogyny prevalent in today's culture. Through her male alter ego Tyler, Swift points out the double standards women face at work, in their dating lives, with their sexuality, and more. We broke down all of the music video's easter eggs, such as references to Leonardo DiCaprio and "The Wolf of Wall Street," Serena Williams and her 2018 U. S. Open Women's Final match, and Swift's recent feud with Scooter Braun and Scott Borchetta over the masters to her past albums, including "1989," "reputation," and "Red." Loren Gray, Dominic Toliver, Jayden Bartels, and Swift's father Scott Swift all make cameos, while Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson is the voice of Tyler Swift. ------------------------------------------------------ #TheMan #TaylorSwift #Insider Insider is great journalism about what passionate people actually want to know. Rowley SFX has created practical explosion effects for the first two seasons of "Peaky Blinders" and the BBC's "World on Fire." It produced weather effects and practical effects for Netflix's "The Stranger," the upcoming StudioCanal adaptation of "The Secret Garden," and "Everybody's Talking About Jamie." The company was founded in 1946 by Alf Rowley and is now run by members of the same family, including Ian Rowley and his son Rob. It started as an action props manufacturer for beloved UK children's TV shows. More and more movies rely on visual effects to create impressive explosions, but companies like this one use all kinds of inventive methods to give a reference for VFX, as well as for actors and stunt performers to react to. We sampled dust hits, which mimic machine-gun bullets hitting a wall. We also sampled Rowley SFX's Ladco blaster, which is filled with nitrogen or propane to give an explosive effect or generate a fireball. Ladco blasters come in different sizes, but the one we sampled gave a fireball of 9 to 10 meters. The final test was an explosive mortar effect using soil and fuel to simulate a shell hitting a field. Michael Franzese, a former New York mobster and ex-caporegime of the Colombo crime family, rates classic mafia movie scenes on how accurate they are. The US mafia is featured in many classic movies from the 1920s onwards. We discuss the cultural significance and accuracy of famous crime scenes in movies and TV shows, such as "The Godfather" and "The Sopranos." Franzese also points out inaccuracies in scenes from mob comedies such as "Analyze This" and "The Simpsons." Franzese discusses true stories and real-life characters featured in "Goodfellas" and "Casino." He talks about his proximity to the events of Martin Scorsese's "The Irishman," the Oscar-nominated movie starring Robert De Niro and Al Pacino. After Franzese was released from prison in 1995, he became the only high ranking official of a major mafia family to ever walk away, without protective custody, and survive. "Bombshell" stars Charlize Theron and Nicole Kidman as former Fox News anchors Megyn Kelly and Gretchen Carlson, as well as John Lithgow as Roger Ailes. The Oscar-nominated hair and makeup team of Kazu Hiro, Vivian Baker, and Anne Morgan did a lot of work to turn the cast into their real-life counterparts, with perhaps their most convincing work being on Theron. Something as simple as a pair of false eyelashes changed the shape of her eyes, while skin-texture prostheses transformed her face into Kelly's. “Klaus,” Netflix’s first animated film, is an origin story of Santa Claus. Because the Oscar-nominated movie appeals to nostalgia, director Sergio Pablos and his team at The SPA Studios in Madrid decided to make the film in 2D. But they also wanted to advance the look, so they developed new technology that adds details like lighting and texture to the characters that make them appear 3D. We spoke with Pablos to find out how they made the innovative film, which earned an Academy Award nomination for best Animated Feature and seven Annie Awards. “Klaus” stars Jason Schwartzman, J.K. How Bollywood Gave Britney Spears Her Greatest Hit
How Bollywood Gave Britney Spears Her Greatest Hit

"Toxic" deconstructed: A musical analysis of how Bollywood and James Bond fueled Britney Spears’ 2003 hit song. We spoke to classical Carnatic vocalist Manasi Prasad and classically-trained composer Adam Ragusea about the link between Indian music and spy music, and how these sounds are expertly weaved together in “Toxic” to create a campy pop masterpiece. From its instrumentation to its harmonic structure, “Toxic” is no ordinary pop hit. You know exactly what song it is as soon as you hear those high-pitched orchestral violin riff - that undeniably catchy hook that makes “Toxic” a DJ staple even today, over 15 years after its release. The secret to the song’s infectious hook, though, lies farther back than the early 2000s - long before Britney Spears, and even before Bloodshy and Avant, the hit-making duo behind the song’s production. The song gets its signature orchestral arrangement from Indian music, specifically from an ’80s blockbuster Bollywood movie “Ek Duuje Ke Liye.” The instantly recognizable hook is actually a remixed sample from “Tere Mere Beech Mein,” a Hindi song off that film’s soundtrack. The string interpolation in “Toxic” isn’t the only element that’s borrowed from a movie soundtrack. The surf guitar in its chorus is inspired by the music of James Bond, the global film franchise that kicked off in 1962 with Sean Connery’s “Dr. No.” The original James Bond theme, first heard in “Dr. No,” was driven by surf rock; and thanks to its outsized influence on the music of other Cold War espionage films and TV series, we now associate that 1960s surf guitar sound with all the suspense and excitement of Hollywood spy thrillers. Those flashy, dangerous connotations carry over into “Toxic,” where Britney’s singing about a risky, poisonous attraction. The pop star seems to allude to this Bond connection in the song's iconic music video, where she appears in a Bond Girl-esque role. Britney Spears first released “Toxic” as a single off her fourth studio album, “In the Zone.” It hit No. 1 on the Billboard Hot 100 and revived Britney’s career, propelling her back into the Top 10 for the first time in four years. Soon the song would cement its status as one of the defining hits from that early-’00s pop era. How "His Dark Materials" Used Puppets And CGI To Create Realistic Animals | Movies Insider

Award-winning VFX company Framestore produced a number of daemons and polar bears for the HBO/BBC series "His Dark Materials." The project was overseen by senior effects designer Russell Dodgson. The team worked alongside studio Painting Practice to cast many of the creatures in the series, which were then brought to life by Puppetry legend William Todd-Jones. For close-ups, some of the puppets like Lyra's daemon Pan, were sculpted heads. Other slinky-body styles of puppet were used for quadrupedal or bipedal animals. Some "flappy" puppets were used for daemons that were in flight or had to land on actors' arms. When actors needed to demonstrate the weight of daemons, the team made gray furry cushions called bucks. These had weight and shape to make it look like actors were holding daemons or pressing their face to them. For the polar bears, a series of large rigs were made. There was the "basher bear" to ram into stunt people and push actors to the ground, a riding rig for Dafne Keen (Lyra) to sit on, a backpack rig for her to get on top of someone's shoulders, and a four-legged fiberglass standing puppet to show a polar bear's height. The team also used a "couch bear," which was a gray buck to lean against. Even though the animals look incredibly real, the only "animal actor" on set belonged to Ariyon Bakare's Lord Boreal and is played by an actual snake. We caught up with Russell at Framestore in London to explain the process. Why Adam Sandler's Man-Child Act Is Actually Genius | The Art Of Film

Back in the '90s, Adam Sandler was arguably one of the funniest and most successful comedians of the time, with hits like "Happy Gilmore" and "The Wedding Singer." To say that his career had a downturn since then would be an understatement. With films like "Jack and Jill" and "The Ridiculous 6," Sandler has turned into one of the most formulaic and obnoxious comedians right now. And all of it might be because of how he portrays himself on-screen. A lot of work went on behind the scenes to bring this year’s Oscar-nominated films to life. “The Irishman” de-aged its actors using state-of-the-art CGI, “Bombshell” used prosthetics to transform Charlize Theron into Megyn Kelly, and Disney and Pixar continued to innovate with “Toy Story 4” and “Frozen II.” We also look into the process of making blockbusters like "Avengers: Endgame" and "Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker." An authenticity expert from designer consignment shop The RealReal in New York City taught Insider producer Kyle Kerchaert how to spot replicas of popular designer jewelry. We took a look at some of the most iconic jewelry pieces around: the Van Cleef & Arpels Alhambra necklace with 20 motifs, the Hermès Clic Clac H bracelet, Elsa Peretti's bib necklace for Tiffany & Co., the Cartier Love bracelet, and the David Yurman Cable Classic bracelet. Jewelry-authenticity expert Katherine Ward put us to the test to see if we could determine the real designer jewelry pieces from their knockoffs. Over the course of production, she had to bake over 100 of the film's signature pies, and even have fresh fish flown from France to Hungary for a pivotal scene. Why Country Music Looks And Sounds Like Hip-Hop Now
Why Country Music Looks And Sounds Like Hip-Hop Now
5 months ago
Mainstream country music is bending toward hip-hop - and the proof isn’t limited to just “Old Town Road” and “The Git Up.” There’s country’s rapidly evolving sound, which is straying further from its acoustic roots in favor of trap-style beats, clap and snap tracks, sleek studio production, and “country rapping.” Then there are its aesthetics, which seem to draw more and more from hip-hop imagery, borrowing the visual signatures of classic ‘90s rap videos. Country artists are collaborating with rappers right and left, and many are even borrowing some of rappers’ buzz-building tools to promote their music. How is hip-hop propelling the evolution of country music? And what’s with all the genre crossover? Turns out it’s nothing new. Country and hip-hop share a long and complicated history, with a common lineage in the black music of the American South. Despite this shared heritage, the two genres often seem like they’re worlds apart today. The beginnings of this divide trace back to the birth of the recording industry in the 1920s, when record labels began separating performers into racially defined genres. This is what’s known as the segregation of the music industry, and its effects last up until today. Yet a segregated industry has never stopped artists from engaging in cross-genre dialogue. To understand how this genre hybridization has shaped today’s country and hip-hop, we spoke with Kevin C. Holt, an ethnomusicologist at Columbia University who’s studied the relationship between country and Southern rap, with a focus on Atlanta hip-hop culture. Holt broke down the many commonalities that country and hip-hop have had all along - including both genres’ special emphasis on roots, authenticity, storytelling, and lived experience. He explained that in the digital-streaming era, the boundaries between genres like country and hip-hop are becoming more diffuse. That’s how we get artists like Sam Hunt, dubbed the “country Drake,” and it’s also how we got country-trap anthems from MCs like Young Thug and DaBaby. We also took a look at the rise of the year’s biggest genre disruptor, Lil Nas X, who shook up both country and hip-hop with his category-defying smash hit “Old Town Road.” What role do gatekeepers play in the genre debate - and what’s next for the country-hip-hop songs that topped the charts in 2019? Why ‘All I Want For Christmas’ Is The Only Modern Holiday Classic
Why ‘All I Want For Christmas’ Is The Only Modern Holiday Classic
5 months ago
In 1994, when Mariah Carey released "All I Want For Christmas Is You,” there hadn't been a new holiday classic in a decade. And there hasn't been another once since. Mariah’s festive hit is one of the last songs to break into the American Christmas canon. Besides Mariah’s legendary five-octave range, what separates “All I Want for Christmas” from the rest - and why is it the only modern holiday standard? We take a deep dive into the song’s structure to explain its lasting appeal. Mariah Carey and long-time collaborator Walter Afanasieff crafted a timeless staple by drawing on holiday musical traditions spanning centuries, from the Nutcracker ballet of the 19th century, to 1960s girl groups like the Ronettes, to Phil Spector’s famous ‘‘Wall of Sound’. ------------------------------------------------------ #Christmas #Music #Insider Insider is great journalism about what passionate people actually want to know. I don’t understand why that cop would do that. The person was suffering a lot and I don’t understand why you would want them to continue to suffer. It’s their life, if they want to end it then they should be able to. I understand if the cop talked him out of it but he tricked and forced him. Sometimes forcing people to get help will only make it worse. That police officer could have made the man’s life even worse. Some people will probably call him selfish and that will make his depression worse. Also they probably made him go to a mental hospital or therapy. Mental hospitals can make people’s life worse, I know from experience. I hope that man is doing better.

The man in the basement said at one point to Mr Kim "Mr Park will know at one point, he's a bit scout" yet Mr Park never noticed the morse code that the man has been signaling for years and years. Kind of alluding to how the rich never really work as hard as the lower-class and just get into Boy Scouts and can use it as bragging terms, but never need to know it fully. Rich people don't live to just survive.

“What makes parasite so perfect, is that it understands the rules and power of storytelling”. That’s where I have to differ a little. It was very illogical and didn’t fit in the story that they let the previous housekeeper in (even if I loved that twist). Why would they do that? It’s illogical, they were very meticulous with the plan. And not only to stick to the plan. The way they got her fired. They could’ve literally killed her, she had a severe allergy to peaches. And they didn’t care as long as she was out of the housekeeping position. So why would they let her in? Because they felt bad after doing that to her? Of course not, they were so proud of how they took others’ jobs. No remorse or anything. So why would they let her in?

How about the saber fight in "The Deluge"? (Potop) I Love that one. The Colonel shows his contempt for the bandit by incapacitating him almost offhandedly. A duty to be carried out and no more. He was becoming a nuisance.

I am sorry but kill Bill is a 2?? I mean how messed up does it have to be to get a 1?? And the throne room scene in Star wars was just bad, there where so many opportunities for the guards standing around to just stab them from behind, but they wiggle around, doing nothing! I am no expert but I would have given it a 3 out of 10

Lost me the moment he had anything nice to say about revenge of the Sith like that. Literally an example of how not to choreograph your fights, no less an example of how to not fight period. It's a weird dance number with glow sticks. Although I've enjoyed his break down on everything else. Kind of makes me wish I was anywhere near him England to work with him. Not that he'd accept me. I'm nobody. But still you know... The dream?

God is Jesus he is real. Trump is the Devil. Humans are sinners they come from only one race the Human race. The media is fake. Heaven and Hell is real. Only God Jesus Christ can free us. The constitution is false. Racism is fake. We all have been deceived by the Satan. Humans are not the enemy. Nature is our friend. We are better than this. Plz don't live in fear and kill each other anymore. I love you all my fellow human beings

No matter how "white" someone sounds I can almost always tell they're black, I don't think I ever confused college educated with white. Now there are some white people who sound black that I would have never guessed were white but maybe that's because you don't expect a white person to sound black I can also tell asians from whites, I think english black and whites are the only people I have a tough time telling apart I don't know what it is but if I'm not looking at the screen I would never know.

to me, i feel like the man with the guitar is meant to represent black people having a substantial influence on our music/pop culture. he plays the guitar/chord progression for most of the song, which everyone is dancing to. but he gets shot. i feel like it’s meant to symbolize the love white people and americans have for black culture but not for black people
