All day
Hiding from the sun
Waiting for the golden one
Waiting for your fame
After the parade has gone
Outside was a happy place
Every face had a smile like the golden face
For a second
Your knuckles white as your fingers curl
The shot that was heard around the world
For a seconds
It took seconds of your time to take his life
It took seconds
It took seconds of your time to take his life
It took seconds
It took seconds of your time to take his life
It took seconds of your time to take his life
It took seconds of your time to take his life
It took secons
It took seconds of your time to take his life
It took seconds
For a second
It took seconds of your time to take his life
It took seconds
It took seconds of your time to take his life
It took seconds
For a second
It took seconds of your time to take his life
Seconds of your time to take his life
For a second
For a second

Always and forever, thank you to Great Britain and the British people whose creativity, since the 1960s, has given the rest of the World hundreds of unique bands such as the Human League and music of unparalleled beauty, quirkiness and atmosphere. What would our lives have been without British bands? Thank you from Sicily.

@veegar926 Germany is another country that has been pretty influential in the development of MODERN music, as we today know it, with all the electronic stuff that came from THAT country - Kraftwerk, Tangerine Dream, Stockhausen, etcetera. In fact, THIS song shows a bit of THAT influence.
veegar926 - 2 months ago
@Phil bell In terms of CONTEMPORARY "rock" or "pop" music (which is what I had the impression we were discussing here, not OLD folk or classical) England has been especially progressive and influential, pretty much since the 1960s to at least the 80s. More musical movements, within THAT time interval, have been born out of England than any other nation, including mod, psychedelia, heavy metal, art rock, glam, punk, ska, nu romantic, and goth.
Phil bell
Phil bell - 2 months ago
@veegar926 Influence wasn't my point. I was merely saying that there is a hell of a lot of good music from countries outside the Anglo-American axis.
veegar926 - 2 months ago
@Phil bell Ahhhhh no, I honestly don't know of very many ITALIAN musicians that have influenced and developed CONTEMPORARY MUSIC in the same way that the BRITISH have.

PAMAROSHOUSE I was Lucky I guess that I have always had a Wide Ranging Taste in music. I was a DJ in 70s specialising in Funk/Jazz Funk and Disco but I also Loved Rock like Neil Young, Floyd, Zeppelin etc. I bought the Dare album when it came out and also the Producer Martin Rushentโ€™s Remixed album of Dare Love and Dancing. There are still plenty of good bands around (both old and new) but, you have to look for them just like we all did back in the day. If you're going around looking for things like new Post Punk/Goth/New Wave/Synth/Coldwave etc. etc. on mainstream music sites, you're not gonna find them - simple as that. You have to roll up your sleeves and start digging, just like the old days. Don't be so quick to throw in the towel and give up.

B Side of Don't You Want Me 7". I bought it when it was in the charts.
As a 10 year old, this was a bit dark, but in hindsight it's one of the many highlights of a wonderful album...
