@1989Peanut Personally... the R8 is actually a cool car, I would never want to compare it to something as awful as the C8. Now... the Ferrari 488 on the other hand...

GT500 hands down. The C8 is just a Ferrari 488 with 'Vette badges on it. The Corvette wasn't always meant to be mid-engine. It was always meant to be front-engine. It's known for being the front-engine supercar killer. The GT500 is staying true to its roots, and true to the Mustang.

Except that it is slower than a C7 on the track. Put the extra HP and DCT in the C7 and it rocks the C8. GM should have upgraded the C7 and with the wasted C8 investment, lower the improved C7 price to $39,000.

People need to stop calling the C8 Corvette a "supercar". Just cause it can accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in less than 3 seconds, has a top speed of close to 200 mph, and being mid-engine does not make it a supercar. A supercar is exclusive, has to be worth six figures or more, and has world class performance that would make the C8 Corvette look like a Prius in comparison; the best of the best. That's not something you can describe on a C8 Corvette, coming from the same manufacturer that also produces Cobalts, Equinox's, and any family car.

Three fairly flaws:
1. No manual (Nothing is perfect)
2. Not as good looking as the C7 (Mid-engine cars are function over form. Looks good, but not that good)
3. Square exhaust tips (Just a bad idea by Chevy. Can be quickly fixed after market.)

This is the only car I’d buy from GM.
